Good news everyone! We’ve just released Linguix 2.0. Now, our editor and browser extensions can help you learn English! Here are our lovely new features.
Use our synonyms database to enhance vocabulary
From now on, the Linguix Web App and browser extensions have a built-in AI-fueled synonyms-selection engine. This feature allows you to see synonyms of English words. Just hold down the Alt button and double-click on a word to see a list of its synonyms.
For your convenience, synonyms are divided into groups. The groups are displayed based on the context of a sentence. The feature works in the web app and in our extensions, so you can see synonyms anywhere you write.
NB: synonyms are shown in so-called text areas on the web when you are writing something. This means that Linguix now allows you to find a better word and make your content even better!
Learn new words while browsing the web
How often have you got stuck on an unknown word when browsing on the web? When you encounter an unknown word, the usual workaround is to copy and paste it into Google or an online dictionary. But what if you are reading a complex piece? You soon tired of copying, pasting, and switching from page to page.
We want to help you build a stronger vocabulary base, even when you’re just browsing the web. Now, when you have our extension installed, just right-click on any unknown word to look it up in Linguix’s definitions database.
Now you can check the definitions of more than 200,000 English words found anywhere on the web!
